Wow, just wow... you handled that first transition very well and I am in love with your choice of instruments. You are able to pick out the meanest and most aggressive yet melodic sounds from each culture and blend them seamlessly (so far). Let me pick my jaw up off the floor. I am engaged, I am invested, I am blown the hell away by the raw talent bursting out of my speakers and I feel like me judging you is more akin to a boxer judging a kung-fu master. You nailed my ancestral culture 4:12-5:25. I am truly just speechless. I hope someday that I will be able to grasp music the way that you have here. My hats off to you. You have gained a new follower and I can't wait to hear more from you. Just... wow.
When people refer to Musicians, they are referring to you.

VociferousMusic responds:

Your comment sounds very plainly to me, haha! I'm very happy that you seemed to enjoy the piece that much and hearing such words motivate me really much. And it makes me feel proud that I was able to solve the musical way of your seeming culture to full extent! =)

Oh. My. Gods. what a start! I already know I'm in for something truly epic. Nice chord progressions. Uh, get it! 1:00-2:22 and then that drop into those break beats or dub step percussion. And it just gets better and better. It sounds like a death machine being worked on in a garage from hell. Just a death tank that's about to be unleashed on the world. I can't think of anything you could have done differently or better...maybe a little repetitive from 2:57-3:27 but that's if I'm trying REALLY hard to find constructive criticism. I found a new favorite artist today. Thank you for this!

Edit: If this is you being rushed then what do you sound like when you take your time? Do you have any links to social media that I can follow? I'd love to hear more from you.

"It sounds like a death machine being worked on in a garage from hell." Dude, huge lol. So far the best analogy I've heard. Big thanks for the complimentary review too.

My audition piece Coarse Sand I spent over 28 hours on so there was definitely a lot of work in that one. If you go on my YouTube channel I did a remix of Yours by Andrew Huang that I put a large amount of effort into it and I'm pretty proud of how that sounds too.

Thanks again. :)

Starts out with a funky bass line that has me hooked. The progression of the percussion is very interesting. And that piano is beautiful. It's great to hear that you're stepping out of your comfort zone, that is something I need to do more of. From 1:14-1:28 is gorgeous. I wish you would have expanded on that a little more but it still grooves. Fun choir. Gets a little crowded... but it feels pretty epic. I think a little attention in making a more driving beat during certain parts of this song could help. All in all it is a really cool song. Still humming that bass line. Nice work.

Thank you very much for the thorough (and informative) review! It's always good to hear suggestions and opinions on how to improve for the future, and I really appreciate that. Very happy you liked the bass and keyboard parts! :)

I love how this starts out. So crisp! And that drop hits like a mother... Nice melody, very chill but also complex. I love these break downs and build ups, very well done. That bass is killer. And good job on the vocals. The mix between crisp mellow vibes and planet crushing bass is perfect. I can't help but bob my head and tap my feet, very engaging. The "second act" doesn't disappoint with that bass talking directly to the animal part of my cerebral cortex. And then you calm it down before it makes my head explode. I can't think of a single thing that needs work. Well done! I'll see you on Youtube.

MrKoolTrix responds:

Thanks for the feedback, Cheshyre. :)

Ooooh, what is this feeling? It is tangible, I can hold it, but I can't define it yet... that build sure helps. Good use of vocodex, solid lead in and break beat! But this feeling, what is it? It feels like I may have lost something that was once dear to me. Oh my, that bass. It makes me sad as I embrace myself, alone, and dancing in the dark... are these tears? Is my face wet or is there something in here with me? Crying for me? Am I awake?

Thank you for this, JRTH. I needed a good cry.

JRTH responds:

Hahaha mission accomplished - Happy to hear I made you feel something.

It starts out very nicely. I can already tell that I'm going to like this song. Those bongos(?) are well timed. I like the melody. It isn't too positive and not too negative. It sits perfectly in between joyful and sorrow. Somewhere in that mysterious zone. Very well done.

Sorry if the translation is confusing.

gracias por tu opinión

Oh yes, get some. I kind of wish you would have kept that lead guitar instead of the cartoon-y lead. It kind of diminishes the rest of the song. But every time that guitar comes back in then I'm all in. The gypsy caravan would be proud. It doesn't go on for too long and it changes just enough to hold my attention, and it definitely holds my attention. I really like this. I love the end too.

Depard responds:

Thanks! This was one of the biggest questions for me while creating this track - keep solo guitar with only "guitar sound" as main instruments or add some synth sounds. I just wasnt able to find right guitar tone and option with synth sounded more interesting :D

This is very upbeat and it is a very well made song. It is a very pleasing song that I can see in some type of rpg. I wish the melody traveled around a little more but that's just my personal opinion. From start to finish this song is very polished.

8-bitheroes responds:

Thanks bruh

Good longing feeling from that piano and waterfall. nice progression. This is a light hearted thunderstorm of a song. That beat though... ooooh guitar too? I love the second build so much!
The second half loses me a little bit but good walking away sfx. You tell a beautiful story.

TheMajician responds:

Thanks!

Nice intro! That kick is really trying to hit hard. Very nice arpeggio and build up with those strings? Good stuff. Nice drop! " are you ready" indeed. The softer parts of this song are my favorite. They are beautiful. Nice intro to this new lead. You could get away with a little less kick but it doesn't hurt the song in my eyes. And then just grungy dubstep glitchy grimy immersion of sounds spewing out. Very cool. Nice finish as well. Good job!

ShockblastDeluxe responds:

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
